The most powerful member of the Orion family, the OrionLX+ takes on all automation applications in T&D substations. Modular serial cards and network options enable the OrionLX+ hardware to leverage existing equipment and minimize upgrade effort. The OrionLX+ has been tested with very large configurations and confirmed to be suitable for the largest substations: 80,000 points, 512 IEDs, redundancy, and IEC 61850.
Hot Swappable Power Supply
Single or redundant supplies can be ordered, each removable under power from the front of the OrionLX+. For higher reliability, both power supplies share the load, and are health monitored by internal Orion diagnostics.
Expanded Networking Options
Five NovaCard Expansion Cards are available to support a wide range of network and I/O needs.
