Meet the Team
Peter Sandars Group Managing Director
Peter has close to 50 years experience in the Electrical Power Industry commencing as an apprenticed Electrical Mechanic, Test Engineer and Sales Engineer working through to holding various Senior Executive Roles with overall responsibility of manufacturing, local and export sales for several Australian based HV & LV Switchgear manufacturers. Presently, Peter is Managing Director and Chairman of ADAPT Australia Pty Ltd, a specialist HV Equipment and Engineering Services Company that he founded and has co-owned since July 1992. Peter is a member of several Professional Associations and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute Of Company Directors.
Grant Sandars Director and General Manager
Grant has over 17 years experience in the Electricity sector, having commenced his career at Adapt Australia in 1999. Grant has an accounting and banking finance background joining Adapt from the Commonwealth Bank where he was a Small Business Lending Manager for over 10 years. Currently holding the position of Director & General Manager at ADAPT, Grant has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing & International Trade and an Associate Diploma in Banking & Finance from RMIT.
Darren SandarsDirector, Logistics and Customer Services
Darren has over 18 years experience in the Electricity sector, having commenced his career at Adapt Australia in 1998. Darren’s has previous experience in Sales in Industry Safety and in Education. Currently holding the position of Director, Logistics & Customer Services. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Graduate Diploma of Secondary Education. He has completed several Sales and Marketing courses.
Steve MarshallNational Sales Manager
Steve has over 7 years of experience in the Power, Electricity & Communications sector, having commenced his career with Adapt in 2017.
Steve had previous experience in Business Development, Technical Sales & Product Management at Preformed Line Products Australia.
He has a strong skillset in communication, leadership, negotiation and interpersonal skills in building relationships with clients.
Steve has maintained relationships with key customers & within different spaces of the Power Utility market, including: HV/MV/LV Distribution and Transmission Equipment, Substation equipment, Aluminium Busbar / Switchyard works & Aerial Communications & Cabling products.
Daniel CetrolaEngineering / Technical Services Manager
Daniel began with ADAPT Australia in 2006 working alongside a team with a combined industry experience exceeding 100 years.
Daniel learned everything he could from these early mentors and combined with long projects in the field and having grown up surrounded by tradespeople, he supplements his engineering degree with good practical skills. He enjoys working with both engineers specifying equipment during the early stages of a project and the skilled personnel installing, operating and maintaining equipment long after commissioning. Outside of ADAPT Daniel enjoys learning as much as he can (on all topics) and acquiring new skills and believes all knowledge has a use.
Yane CoceskiTechnical Sales Engineer
Yane has over 7 years experience in the Electrical sector, commencing his career at ADAPT in August 2014. He has domestic and international experience working with Continental Automotive in Germany, BHP Billiton Iron Ore in Western Australia and NHP in Melbourne. He joined the ADAPT team as a Technical Sales Engineer taking care of the Power Quality products. An effective communicator and problem solver, he prides himself in collaborating closely with his customers to help them find the right solution. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) Degree from RMIT University.
Mal BartonWA State Manager
Mal has over 23 years experience in customer service and sales, the last 10 of which have been in the electrical industry after joining the team at Adapt towards the end of 2006. He currently holds the position of Western Australia State Manager. He is committed to delivering quality service and support to all customers, and to growing the Adapt business in Western Australia.
Patrick FosterNSW / ACT Regional Manager (Adapt Australia)
Patrick joined ADAPT in 2013 as our Regional Manager for NSW and the ACT. He has an extensive sales background from over 18 years within the power industry. His broad practical and technical experience, working in all fields within the utility and industrial markets, are ideal attributes for maintaining ADAPT’s position as one of Australia’s foremost suppliers of Global Power solutions. Patrick has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification in manufacturing.
Ken StoneContracts Manager
Ken has been with Adapt Australia for over 5 years. Prior to joining Adapt Ken gained valuable Banking and Finance experience with the Reserve Bank of Australia for a total of 19 years in the RBA’s Melbourne and Canberra offices – in Financial Markets and Banking Operations. Currently holding the position of Contracts Manager at Adapt, he has also worked in Telstra’s Treasury, Company Secretary’s Office, and Procurement Group for a total of 18 years.
Andrew BonadioAssembly / Warehouse Supervisor
I started my career by helping out in the family business of appliance repairs, then moved on to doing computer repairs for 3 years. I then moved on to Electrical technician for 3 years, fixing and repairing all different types of electronics, after which I worked as a Telecommunication technician, which involved installing and wiring satellite reception to homes for 4 years. I have been with Adapt for 2 years, currently holding the position of Assembly / Warehouse Co-Ordinator.
Steve OffordManager Sales and Marketing (Adapt NZ)
Steve Offord has over 35 years experience in the Electrical Power industry with many varied and interesting jobs during that time. The last 10 years have been with Adapt NZ after joining the family in 2006. He currently holds the position of General Manager Sales and Marketing. Steve is committed to delivering quality products, quality service, quality support to all customers, and continuing to grow the Adapt business throughout all parts of New Zealand.
Brad DicksonGeneral Manager Adapt A Pole
Brad has worked in & around the Electrical Distribution industry for 30 years. Starting first as an apprentice linesman in a distribution company & now working as the general manager for Adapt a Pole, his diverse experience has been built from the ground up. He has been a team leader, a supervisor, a construction scheduler & an operations manager to over 100 staff. He also created, managed & grew a national software company & is known as a works management expert whose software products are still in use today. He is a fluent communicator, a software architect, & a project manager with a broad knowledge of construction & maintenance practices who is now committed to the establishment, development, growth & success of Adapt-A-Pole.
